Turtle Soup Is At Comcast Center For The Gameday Thread

2/19/2010 7:34:29 PM Gregg and I will be making our annual pilgrimage to College Park tomorrow to watch the Terps take on the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets.  Tech has an RPI in the 20s , so a win would represent Maryland's best this season (on paper).

The Terps are cruising.  So far this week, they've dismantled Virginia at home and followed that up by sleeping walking through the first 30 minutes at NC State before winning going away.

The credit goes to Greivis Vasquez.  He is playing the best basketball of his life right now.  He seems to get better with each game and that is just fine with this blogger.

For their part, Georgia Tech has been atrocious away from Atlanta.  Freshman Derrick Favors is a consensus top 15 pick in the summers NBA Draft and will pose problems for Maryland on the interior.  Look for Jordan Williams to take on the challenge with relish.  Interestingly enough, James Padgett played well against Favors in high school and should be available to provide defensive support.

Comcast should be rocking as the Terps can affirm their standing at the top of the ACC.

I'll be tweeting from the game so you can check out the live feed on the upper left column of the site.
