Terps Search For Breakthrough vs FSU

2/23/2011 10:08:28 AM Here we are again.  The Terps have yet to prove their mettle against top 50 teams and with season winding down; are in desperate need of a breakthrough.

FSU comes to town missing its best player, Chris Singleton.  The 6'9" forward represents 20% of the Seminole's scoring and 25% of the team's blocks.  He's also their leading 3PT shooter and rebounder.  In short, Singleton does everything for FSU.

Singleton's absence leaves little room for excuses for the Terps.  With Terrell Stoglin's recent emergence, the Terps must win tonight if there back-from-the-dead re-emergence is to have any legs.

FSU has had a good season, but the Terps are catching a break with Singleton out and there is no excuse for them not to come through.

With any luck, the Terps can build a little momentum heading into the critical road test in Chapel Hill on Sunday night.  For this weekend to have any meaning; the Terps must earn a victory tonight.
