DJ Adams Reinstated; WRs Tyler And McCree Out Indefinitely

DJ Adams was reinstated from his one game suspension today.  Therein lies the good news.  The bad news is that WRs Ronnie Tyler and Quintin McCree have been suspended indefinitely from the team.

Tyler and McCree totaled 13 catches against Miami (6 and 7 respectively) so this is a major loss.  Tyler is charged with assaulting a police officer (this is on top of an old charge of driving on a sidewalk).  There is no word on McCree did other than violate team rules.

Few teams can afford to lose two of their top receiving targets and the Terps are no exception.  Danny O'Brien looked for both players early and often in the opener so one has to hope that our backups can do the job.

My gut tells me that the Terps will still have an elite offense without these guys.  Danny O'Brien could make players out of the Three Stooges if he had to.  The news is alarming; but let's push any panic buttons until we see the product on the field this Saturday.

As DBR reported in the previous thread, rumors abound that prized recruit Mitch McGary could commit Duke soon.  Like I said previously, he just seems like the kind of recruit that Coach K seems to always get.
