Maryland vs James Madison

8/29/2014 10:23:01 PM This is going to be a year of firsts for Maryland.  It starts today.  Maryland will take the field as a member of the Big Ten for the first time.  The Terps will play James Madison, an opponent they should roll.  That is of little importance because the college football season has started and that is a reason to rejoice.

Maryland is on the upswing.  We've got senior leadership in CJ Brown.  Athletic talent in Stefon Diggs.  The Terps are healthy. No, they won't go the National Championship playoffs.  No, they won't go the Rose Bowl.  Yes, they will have a good season.

This inaugural year in the Big Ten won't be an easy one with games against the likes of Mich St. Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State.  How many of those games can we win?  I believe. I believe that. I believe that we have the talent to beat at least two of those teams.  I think the most likely candidates are Penn State and Michigan but Wisconsin is wildly overrated so who knows?  All I know is that I am going to have more fun watching the Terps take on these opponents than watching them play Wake and NC State.

This is going to be a fun ride.  Go B1G or go home.
