Maryland vs Clemson

2/22/2013 12:29:05 PM The BC loss is lingering around the fan base like a stale fart.  There is no denying its stink.

Many of us are now ready to give up on the season.  While it's not really over (I think if the Terps win out they are getting an at-large bid) few fans think that is a realistic scenario. Regardless of what happens at home vs Clemson, the Terps play 3 of their last 4 on the road and need to win all of them. Two of those games are against sub par teams (Wake and Georgia Tech) but BC was a sub par team and we know how that went.

Personally, I'm frustrated but I'm not panicking about the direction of the program. There are only two upperclassmen getting significant minutes and one of them is a first-year Terp (Aronhalt).  The team is young.  Alex Len is 19 years old.  With no true point guard and nothing but first and second year players, letdowns and mistakes are inevitable.

Turgeon is also figuring things out.  He's made some mistakes, but for the most part, I think that has to do with his player's lack of consistency.  It's hard to be a good coach when you don't which Alex Len or which Seth Allen is going to show up.  That said, I"ll NEVER understand the timeout against Duke with 2.8 seconds left.

Clemson sucks.  They can be tough at home but Maryland SHOULD beat them.  A win tomorrow plus a successful road swing (Wake and GT) and Terp fans can start to believe again.
