Dalonte Hill Resigns; Juan Dixon Joins Staff; Dustin Clark Promoted

In a surprise move (for me), Dalonte Hill resigned today effective immediately.  His DUIs and and related struggles have been well publicized but I really thought he'd have another chance. Not the case.

I don't know much about Dustin Clark other than that he has been filling in on the recruiting side while Hill was out with a leave of absence.  I hope he has the chops for the bigger role.

Juan Dixon, on the other hand, is a Terps' legend.  The best to ever wear the uniform and my favorite athlete of all-time.  His story is well know to any Terp fan and I hope that this opens up a new and exciting chapter for him.

Paradise Jam Final: Maryland vs Providence

Quite simply, this a huge game for Maryland.  Providence is a good team and Maryland needs a win against a quality team. I think the Terps need to focus on shot selection (as always) and rebounding. I'm rushing to get out of work so I will try to add some commentary later. [...] Read More »

Paradise Jam: Maryland vs. Northern Iowa

Here we go.  The Terps have a chance to salvage a bit from the weekend after yesterday's Tour de Force of ineptitude from Randy Edsall. Are they up to the task?  Unfortunately, the signs point to no. Offensively, the Terps looked lost in the first half against Marist, one of the worst teams in the entire NCAA.  Turgeon continue [...] Read More »

Gameday: Maryland vs BC

Today we find out if Maryland figured out all the problems last week against Virginia Tech or if they will descend back into ineptitude. BC is capable and will be ready to play.  I expect a tough contest. A win and it will be hard to argue that Randy Edsall hasn't had a successful season.  It would be a miraculous turnaround from th [...] Read More »

Paradise Jam: Terps vs Marist

Today is the first day of the rest season.  Let's see if the Terps can bounce back from that HORRIFIC loss at home to Oregon State. First things first.  It's time for Turgeon to make some tough choices. 1.  Roddy Peters must start at PG.  Dez Wells is not a PG at this level.  Plain and simple.  Peters is raw but [...] Read More »

Terps Are A Mess; Lose To Lowly Oregon State

What a debacle. Nick Faust is just gawd awful.  He needs to be benched never to return.  He can't defend.  He's selfish. He does not know what to do with the ball.  He should just start doing the opposite of what he thinks is the right thing to do.  It will serve him better than his instincts. If only Faust were the o [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Oregon State Thread

I'm typing this while a hideously wet Ravens - Bears game so I apologize for the brevity.  Go Terps. [...] Read More »

Gameday: Maryland vs Virginia Tech

Maryland's descent into irrelevance continues today against Virginia Tech.  At this point, I think we'll just take a sign that the team is returning to their early season form.  A win would just be gravy.  In reality, I don't think any of us believe we'll see anything but what we've seen since the Florida State loss. Injuries are [...] Read More »

Maryland vs Abilene Christian

Terps look to rebound this evening against some cannon fodder named Abilene Christian.  There's a joke in here about Christians being thrown to the Turtles (as opposed to Lions) but I'm too lazy to come up with it. Before the rout ensues, I wanted to point out some interesting data points from the UConn game. - Terps got zero blocks.&nbs [...] Read More »

Gameday: Syracuse v Maryland

This is simple.  Lose today and the fans will forget about the football team and start focusing on basketball.  Win and the team maintains its relevance. Oh, and the Terps are bowl eligible. [...] Read More »
