Gameday: Maryland vs Virginia Tech

Maryland's descent into irrelevance continues today against Virginia Tech.  At this point, I think we'll just take a sign that the team is returning to their early season form.  A win would just be gravy.  In reality, I don't think any of us believe we'll see anything but what we've seen since the Florida State loss.

Injuries are one thing but the way this team just folded is pathetic and disgrace to the University.  Randy Edsall would be fired if his contract weren't so outrageous.  As it stands, we are stuck with this lukewarm gruel through 2017.

Maryland vs Abilene Christian

Terps look to rebound this evening against some cannon fodder named Abilene Christian.  There's a joke in here about Christians being thrown to the Turtles (as opposed to Lions) but I'm too lazy to come up with it. Before the rout ensues, I wanted to point out some interesting data points from the UConn game. - Terps got zero blocks.&nbs [...] Read More »

Gameday: Syracuse v Maryland

This is simple.  Lose today and the fans will forget about the football team and start focusing on basketball.  Win and the team maintains its relevance. Oh, and the Terps are bowl eligible. [...] Read More »

Terps Fall Short In Brooklyn...Again

Some quick hits: -There are no moral victories.  -There were some things to be encouraged about but we all need to remember that Maryland STUNK for 32 minutes of the game. -Faust is a Pee I Gee PIG.  18 shots! He made 5 of them.  Faust is sure he is a crunch time guy.  He's not.  His shot selection is horrendous. [...] Read More »

Maryland vs UConn Game Thread

The Terps kick this season off in a few hours and excitement is building throughout Terpland. A couple things to watch for... Last year, Alex Len dominated Kentucky and Terp fans everywhere thought we'd see that for the rest of the year.  We were wrong.  The lesson:  don't take anything that happens tonight too seriously. Ha [...] Read More »

It's Basketball Season!

It's hard to fathom, but basketball season is upon us.  It's the most wonderful time of the year.  Maryland tips off the season against UConn in Brooklyn this Friday.  I think the game is a toss up.  Surely, Maryland is going to be better than last year's team.  Yes the Terps have lost a lottery pick but I think the Ter [...] Read More »

Disaster In Winston-Salem, Season In Jeopardy

The only thing that could have made yesterday's debacle worse would have been all of the QB's on the roster tearing their ACLs in a freak accident on the way back to College Park. Diggs and Long are now gone for the season.  Brandon Ross is injured.  CJ Brown isn't right.  The team showed no fight against a pedestrian Wake squad.& [...] Read More »

Gameday: Maryland vs Wake Forest

Today we learn which Terps team we will have for the final stretch of the season.  Will it be the one that CJ Brown led to an impressive 4-0 start or will it be the team that got embarrassed at FSU and barely escaped with a win against lowly UVA? There is no doubt that the Terps will be greatly improved with the dynamic CJ Brown directing t [...] Read More »

Maryland Escapes With A Win Against Virginia

The Terps won today but it didn't feel that great. Virginia came within a makeable FG attempt of beating Maryland in College Park.  That would have been a disastrous end to the game and rivalry for that matter. What went right?  Mostly, the offense played well.  Rowe made some big throws and the Terps moved the ball on the ground. [...] Read More »
